Yard Drainage Solutions in Groveland, FL
Grading, rain gardens and pavers that move water away
Yard drainage problems in Groveland show up after the first big summer storm: a pond by the patio, mud along the side yard, mulch washed onto the walk. Randolph Outdoor finds where the water is going and gives it a better route, with grading, rain gardens and pavers that let water soak in. Family owned since 2009.

How Randolph Outdoor Moves Water Out of the Way
Read the yard first
We walk the property after asking where water sits and for how long. Slope, soil, downspouts and the neighbor's grade all play a part, and the fix depends on which one is the real cause.
Pick the right fix
Sometimes it's regrading so the ground falls away from the house. Sometimes it's a rain garden, a planted low spot that holds runoff and lets it soak in. Retention areas and retaining walls handle bigger slopes and erosion.
Built into the hardscape
Every patio and walkway we lay is sloped to shed water, and permeable pavers let rain drain through the joints. If you're adding paver patios and pool decks, the drainage gets planned with them.

Why Lake County Yards Hold Water
Rain comes all at once: About 60 percent of Central Florida's yearly rain falls from June through September, often as heavy afternoon storms. Soil that copes in April can't keep up in August.
Sandy doesn't mean it drains: New-build lots are often raised with trucked-in fill. UF/IFAS notes that layered or compacted soils drain poorly, and a packed layer under the surface can hold water on top of sand.
Standing water costs you: Water that sits against a slab, under a patio or in the lawn kills grass, breeds mosquitoes and undermines pavers. The longer it sits, the more it costs to fix.

What Our Customers Say
The sales guy Geoff Spears couldn't be more responsive, even to the point of helping the installers unload. They arrived a day early than scheduled and worked hard until the job was completed. The Installers were meticulous in building the fence and cleaned up entirely when they left. This company is excellent!
Colin B. Google ReviewSpoke with Jimmy a couple of days ago, he did not try to upsell me he gave me a quote according to what I was looking for and two days later they came out and put up my fence. Fantastic work. I would give this company an A+ Plus Randolph outdoor fence.
Alison B. Google ReviewI called this awesome company after the original fence installer failed to return any of my calls. and they came out same day. It was a very small job he was quick extremely kind and professional. This company is hands down the best!!!

Yard Drainage Questions From Lake County Homeowners
Usually the problem is under the sand or beside it. Compacted fill from construction, a hard layer below the surface, a low spot, or a high water table can all keep water on top. Gutters dumping in one place make it worse. Finding which one it is comes first.
UF/IFAS suggests digging a few holes about 18 inches deep and filling them with water. If it drains within an hour, drainage is good. Several hours to a day is fair. Water still standing after a day points to poor drainage or a high water table.
Yes, if they're built for it. Standard pavers need to slope away from the house. Permeable pavers have wider joints over an open base, so rain drains down through the patio instead of running off it. Randolph Outdoor can tell you which suits your yard at the estimate.
